Praise Allah! We see eye-to-eye on something! I don't understand why people blame the president for things he obviously has nothing to do with and could not interfere if he wanted to.

Iceland wins European court case concerning the guarantee of domestic deposits, but not guaranteeing foreign deposits, when Icesave collapsed in 2008.

As the story points out, no.

I'll go out on a limb and state America will plod along. Slightly better off than most of Europe, but not the best. China won't catchup for decades.

But should we be content to be plodders?

    Let's turn the tables.

If we did this to one of theirs, it would be an international crisis faster than Obama could light up a cigarette....even if he doesn't smoke anymore.

We're the great defender of freedom of religion and respect for diversity, and we say that's why we're helping to create an Arab spring, so these nations can self-determine their destiny with high regard for human rights to live free....yet where's the response here? I bet if a Muslim cleric was busted in Detroit, Obama would jump right in the middle of it. And of course, much of the left in here rejects Christianity at the big left-wing table for diversity, so I'm just pissing in the wind on this.

Liberals will deny this even as the last evidence of the sinking ship goes into the water.

You should ask Mark if he has room in the bunker/cell.

I tend to take everything that Goldman Sachs puts out with a grain of salt but do think that the story pointed out some interesting metrics.

I also think it's better business for liberals to deal in pessimism.

They will believe whatever the unicorn king tells them to believe.
You know, one of the things I find fascinating about this thread is how the most wild-eyed stuff from the left is accepted without challenge - requiring neither citation nor self-restraint.
But any rejoinder to that is shouted down, mocked and portrayed as somehow beyond the acceptable range of public criticism.
And then, as we have seen, the poster faces a range of jeers regarding (if not assaults upon) his patriotism, sexual orientation, sanity and any other aspect of personality worth belittling in the left-wing mind.
That runs like the Swiss trains around here, for years.
