You know, one of the things I find fascinating about this thread is how the most wild-eyed stuff from the left is accepted without challenge - requiring neither citation nor self-restraint.
But any rejoinder to that is shouted down, mocked and portrayed as somehow beyond the acceptable range of public criticism.
And then, as we have seen, the poster faces a range of jeers regarding (if not assaults upon) his patriotism, sexual orientation, sanity and any other aspect of personality worth belittling in the left-wing mind.
That runs like the Swiss trains around here, for years.

Fart, these very beneficiaries of the First Amendment stand in absolute opposition to it by their actions here. I've said it before, its THAT part of who they are that more than than anything causes the general public to loathe media. The Internet just pushed it over the cliff. But had the industry at large been seen as fair and an integral part of being the public defender and watchdog rather than a political manipulator, the public would be fighting for the life of the press.

We have to give a shout-out to Dick Tuck:

In 1972 Nixon gave the order that he wanted a Dick Tuck-style capability to get the goods on his enemies and humiliate them. Nixon knew and approved the actions of the Plumbers Unit and Donald Segretti's department of dirty tricks. "Dick Tuck did that to me," Nixon tells Haldeman in a tape recording made in October 1972 of the two men discussing the White House black ops plan "Let's get out what Dick Tuck did!"

One day during the Senate Watergate Committee hearings, H.R. Haldeman, White House Chief of Staff under Nixon, passed Tuck in the Capitol. Haldeman reportedly turned to Tuck and said, "You started all of this."

Tuck replied, "Yeah, Bob, but you guys ran it into the ground."
