    West Virginia also has the highest percentage of residents from family trees that don't have branches.

    State with the lowest percentage white population according to the 2010 census: Hawaii (no surprise). Second-lowest is Maryland, which surprises me a little.

    Followed by Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana and New York.

    it's the people you hang out with that interpret what others do with their lives as attacks on your family values.

    So, did anyone follow yesterday's confirmation hearings?

    Did Hagel do as poorly as people are saying? Has anyone's opinion on him changed?
