Smart piece here on the narrowing of the Republican party by Sam Tanenhaus.

    www.newrepublic.com/article/112365/why-republicans-are-party-white-people#

"With Barack Obama sworn in for a second term—the first president in either party since Ronald Reagan to be elected twice with popular majorities—the GOP is in jeopardy, the gravest since 1964, of ceasing to be a national party."

  2. Re: THE 2012 POLITICS THREAD

Predictions have been made that both parties will cease to be national parties. I'm not going to bet on this one being right.

That's it? That's all you've got? You'd think somebody who prides himself on being a troll could do better. Somebody wake me if he ever says anything interesting.

At least half of this thread is pissing matches and stupid jokes, yet you singled my post out. Even without citing other evidence, you are clearly trying to pick a fight. If you are going to do so, at least try harder. Be funny or something. Otherwise, get back on topic or troll somebody else.

I gave you a command to post on topic.
You were singled out because well more than half of your correspondence consists of pissing matches.
Honest question: Is there anyone you get on well with at this site? Because shit, even I have a buddy or two here.
No more PMs from you. I know you have some sort of weird crush on me, but it all ends now.

Here's one from back in in 2003 with Al Sharpton claiming that Bill Clinton killed the democat party/

Sooner or later odds are that someone will be right in their prediction of the the demise of 2 party system

More Cabinet problems for the President.

    Chuck Hagel in 2008:

Jack Lew's Cayman Island "tax shelters":

I don't see how Hagel gets through. If he was going to be confirmed, it would have already happened. It's only getting worse for him, and it's going to look bad when the President has to withdraw the nomination.

Who does he turn to next? Apparently no Dems are capable of serving as SecDef.

Lew will likely be confirmed, and the hypocrisy of the Obama campaign's criticism of Mitt Romney will be apparent.

John Yoo doesn't think much of Obama's drone memo:

    Re: THE 2012 POLITICS THREAD

So, who is Obama's John Yoo?

Why don't we know his or her name?

Where is the specific criticism of the Obama memo, and not just the Obama policy?
