Maybe you should ask an elderly Walmart employee, or a mother of three working there. face to face with the real deal trumps paper or a computer screen. How do you think the budgets of these people work?

I have my thoughts on these matters, but I am curious as to what they have to do with Az's assertion that an increase in the minimum wage will lead to billion of savings in Medicaid and food stamps subsidies. Perhaps you could enlighten me?

Liberal math says a 50 cent an hour raise from minimum standards will fix things. It's like putting a band aid on a tumor. The cat got out of the bag long ago with the costs of health care and insurance has proven to be nothing more than a bottle of a vitamins. People are going broke with insurance. It's a market which can have the inflation that health care has been allowed to have over the last few decades.

Why should the minimum wage be raised?

What is the incentive for companies to pay workers a higher salary? There are plenty of unskilled workers who are always seeking jobs. There are plenty of skilled, trained workers who are always seeking jobs. What would be the point of offering more money to a workforce the Wal-Marts of the world already have by the short hairs?

And no, "because of the way I perceive them!!!" is NOT an answer.

We want people to be out of poverty? Then you had better double the minimum wage in Los Angeles, New York City, etc.

He said it could be tied to cost of living?

OK, fine. Who determines that measure? What are the determinants they will use for "cost of living"? And will anyone other than the politicians (and the well-to-do people who support them) consider the final decisions to be fair?

Liberal offers an opinion about Rubio.
Respondent points out it's just a Democrat talking point.
    Liberal demands lithium be administered.

Do you listen to your thoughts?
I know. That's part of the problem.

And we know that will never happen, so what is done is merely band-aids for tumors and talking points to make people feel like someone cares for them when they go to the ballot box.

  12. I'm not a liberal.
