Are you suggesting that Bob Woodward is lying?

    I'm not suggesting anything.

I posted a link to a Fox News story.

    "Disproving?"

You haven't really proved anything. And I'm not mocking you, but the sentiment.

In what way does returning the DoD budget to pre-war levels "gut" our "military capabilities?"

@davidplouffe Watching Woodward is like imagining Mike Schmidt facing live pitching again. Perfection gained once rarely repeated.

With this tweet I am convinced that this is a stoke of genius by the White House to deflect everyone from talking about the Sequester.

  6. I'd like to see the facts in how sequestration affects various government programs. I'm not seeing much from both parties. Creosote, you are also being disingenuous regarding defense cuts, since you have advocated for them in the past.

What I love are people who hate Obama for "outrageous" federal spending, but go off the rails when defense cuts are debated, saying Obama is "traitor" for even thinking of "gutting" the military.

  7. Why have you changed your tune regarding defense cuts?

Anyway, I see your using the shotglass method of arguing.

Bob Woodward is a little bitch.

    http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/woodward-told-white-house-official-he-welcomes-little

He takes one tone in emails with the official in question then runs and whines on Fox News.

    What a little bitch.

So one of icons of of journalism is a "little bitch" because he is not following the party line.
    Ok.

And BTW it was on Wolf Blitzer show that he discussed the "threat"

    From Woodward Politico interview:

--"WOODWARD AT WAR" ... "Behind the Curtain" column by Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen: "Bob Woodward called a senior White House official last week to tell him that in ... that weekend's Washington Post, he was going to question President Obama's account of how sequestration came about ... The Obama aide 'yelled at me for about a half hour,' Woodward told us in an hour-long interview yesterday around the Georgetown dining room table where so many generations of Washington's powerful have spilled their secrets. Digging into one of his famous folders, Woodward said the tirade was followed by a page-long email from the aide, one of the four or five administration officials most closely involved in the fiscal negotiations with the Hill. 'I apologize for raising my voice in our conversation today ... You're focusing on a few specific trees that give a very wrong impression of the forest. But perhaps we will just not see eye to eye here. ... I think you will regret staking out that claim.'

"Woodward repeated the last sentence ... '"You'll regret." Come on. I think if Obama himself saw the way they're dealing with some of this, he would say, "Whoa, we don't tell any reporter 'you're going to regret challenging us."' They have to be willing to live in the world where they're challenged,' Woodward continued in his calm, instantly recognizable voice. 'I've tangled with lots of these people. But suppose there's a young reporter who's only had a couple of years - or 10 years' - experience and the White House is sending him an email saying, 'You're going to regret this.' You know, tremble, tremble. I don't think it's the way to operate.

As a result of sequestration, my son's JROTC unit, which was going to stay at the Great Lakes Naval Station barracks during a weekend competition, now has to commute every day. Good thing the JROTC had a fundraiser, so it can cover the school bus fuel bill.

This is hardly the horror of say, longer TSA lines (I'll start lining up now for my flight next Friday out of Midway), but it gives you an idea of the "waste" that is disappearing. It's little things people, even Tea Partiers, have taken for granted and will notice.
