boob - i guess it's hard to know what it's like to cut a deal when you sit in your little flat, jerking off to obstructionists.

New York Review of Books unlocked this last night. Joan Didion on the empty deference of Bob Woodward. 1996.

    NYT Woodward/White House synopsis here.

His reporting on himself seems especially shaky:

His feud with an unnamed official, first reported in Politico, which said Mr. Woodward clearly saw the administration’s choice of words “as a veiled threat,” initially drew cheers from many conservative commentators and bewilderment from many Washington reporters who wondered whether Mr. Woodward was being a tad oversensitive.

In an interview later on Thursday, Mr. Woodward emphasized that he had not said he felt threatened. “I never said it was a threat,” he said, but added that he still had concerns about how the administration handled criticism.

Woodward / Sperling is a deflect story that the White House is happy to accommodate.

The real story is why the White House is not accepting responsibility for putting sequester in place.

I'm not sure anyone in America knows A) quite what the "sequester" is or B) quite why anyone should be given credit or blame for its existence or implementation.

Agree. I think "America" might care more if everyone in Washington accepted responsibility and explained the purpose behind the "sequester"

I don't think there is a lot of sympathy when "America " hears the said tails of what has to be cut because for the most part everyone in their own situations has had to cut back.

Whether "fiscal cliff" , "sequestration" or whatever you want to call it, it's still all about philosophical differences. Liberals want to raise taxes and spend more and conservatives want to lower taxes and spend less on a federal level.

For the next round if they want "America " to pay attention I think they should term it
    "castration" .

Are you trying to drive traffic for Tom Junod at Esquire?

That was a good piece, but I'm still trying to figure out how Junod knew that Osama bin Laden stroked his beard three times in the mirror before the SEALs burst in. Must have had access to super-secret Web cam footage.
