I agree that elected officials - from both parties - did not exactly trumpet the restoration of the payroll tax.

"not upfront" is too kind. Obama is a fucking liar.

Link to all the GOP incumbents running last fall who were loud and proud about the restoration of the payroll tax?

Interesting that a buncha wage-earners who'll do just fine despite the restoration of the payroll tax will gladly cut the entitlements of the truly needy.

Ah yes, the "make do with less" argument.

Fuck you. I'm already making do with less.

You cannot make an argument in favor of Obama and his policies or situation and use the deficit as a talking point. Obama has thrown loads of gasoline on that fire. He has been fiscally reckless. If nothing else, Obama has been the most fiscally irresponsible president in this nation's history.

I don't care about the expiration of the payroll holiday and do not hold that against Obama. What I do hold against him is the refusal to do anything about lowering our national debt. How much money has been thrown away under the guise of "stimulus" or "green energy initiatives?" That's what amazes me about the pro-Obama crowd...they conveniently ignore his financial track record or blame Bush for things he had nothing to do with. Bush did not want to throw millions of dollars away on Solyndra. Bush did not have anything to do with the stimulus bill that failed at an astronomical expense.

Obama backers lose all credibility when they do not hold him to account for his financial negligence.

No, Bush wanted to throw trillions of bucks and soon-to-be-dead Americans at Iraq. Obama wanted to give money to cut down our fossil fuel dependency. What do you have against going green?

The idea that the United States budget is being busted by investments in renewable energy is laughable. I'll try to dig up the actual percentage of the budget that was spent on investments - any investments. It's low. Dangerously low. Destructively low.

How has Obama been fiscally irresponsible? Examples.
