Hell no I was talking about a real thread. not putting it in politics. It's about people banding together, neighbors, volunteers, and making great strides in helping these people. Compared to say, the HELP ME GOV'MINT! from the mayor and governor of New Orleans/Louisiana....and then you look at the massive looting there. I think I read a report of four cases of looting in Oklahoma and it was minor in circumstance...not near riot level.

 

Just come right out and say it.

 

Why don't you quit trying to put words in my mouth and just speak what's on your mind.

Why don't you tell me instead of playing your pathetic little baiting game, because I'm really not sure what's in your mind.

The only pathetic game going on here is the one where somebody talks about the response of people in NOLA vs. Moore and uses "Guv'mint" and then acts like he has no idea what I'm talking about.

 

It's people helping people vs. the government helping people and the efficiency and attitude contrasts. If you have anything else to add, it's from your own mind.

 

He forgot for basic-level ebonics he's supposed to call it "GUBBMINT" and throw in a few "sheee-yit, muthafuckas!"

 

And let me elaborate further. I mentioned the stacks of trailers in Arkansas. Yeah, that was on Bush's watch and it was just as wasteful as if it had been done on the current Premier's. I also recall how during my own personal assistance with at a holding location for Katrina refugees the Red Cross was going to charge me to "volunteer" when instead, my wife and I happened to visit a church in the area which was organizing a group to go. She did medical intake and I basically talked to people..as visitors in this volunteer group from church. The Army personnel on hand for order, who couldn't do anything by rule, mentioned how efficient our group was in terms of getting things going. "We were still waiting for the Red Cross people when you guys got here." Later, when the "gov'mint" got there and I was on my way out to take a group of old men fishing, the "gov'mint" told me they were now in charge and I would not be allowed on the premises, and got in my face when for the first time in three weeks, my initial "credential" didn't get me in.

Now, whatever the fuck you wanted to suggest.....
