Why can't you understand why people don't want this?
Do you understand that it isn't us?
    Do you even get that?
If I have to explain it, you certainly do not.

So what the people really wanted was a system where if you could afford the health care you needed you could get it and if you couldn't, too bad?
Doesn't sound like a better situation to me.

You're not in step with what makes us, us.
Then, you carry water for a prez who understands nothing about Americans nor the world.
There's no hope for him, but there is hope someday you'll do a little thinking for yourself.

Under Obamacare, not only will they not be able to afford the premiums, they won't be able to afford the fines, either.

Single payer would have been a much better option.

And Christmas is scheduled to be saved again; just in time for this year's Christmas shopping season:

The displays around me get tackier and more prevalent every year. I can only judge by my town, but if there's a war on Christmas, the holiday is winning in the biggest mismatch since Mike Tyson over Michael Spinks.

    Re: Rick Perry saves Christmas

Of course, if Sarah Palin weren't a poorly programmed robot, she would know that Christmas has NEVER been a religious holiday, or at least not one celebrated with any particular degree of interest until people worked out that it was a spiffy excuse to sell crap.

So to return Christmas to its "religious purpose" would be like saying one was attempting to return St. Swithin's Day to its religious purpose.

It's not unlike the people who try to claim that marriage has always been about two people in love, rather than spending most of history as a particularly high-stakes bartering tool.

ETA: This was originally posted in the actual Rick Perry thread.
