Obama pulled a real bait and switch on his liberal supporters. His 2nd term is really like a Bush 4th term.

In 2012, Hillary seemed like a fait accompli, and she sure ran as that. Given what happened then, I wouldn't call the 2016 spot for her just yet.

As of now, Hilary is such an overwhelming favorite it's sort of comical. The GOP, as of right now, has no one, not one, other than Christie. Paul Ryan could, but he's a chronic liar.

The GOP habitually has trouble finding young politicians who don't come off like entitled silver spooners.

    In 40 years - 40 years! -- they've found one. W.

Otherwise, they were lifers who knew where all the bodies were buried (Nixon, HW) or golden oldies of integrity (Ford, Reagan, Dole, McCain). The GOP today, it'd have Ford strung up for the treason of being affable.

The trouble with the older guys is that only one of them was an actor who knew how to effectively feign elite competence, while the others were simply on the other side of their best years when they finally got a shot.

Some idealogue has no shot. Goldwater got suplexed as hard as any candidate ever has in 1964.

Aw, screw that, Boom. He never was that liberal. Reforming health care is good business. He tried, it's predictably complex, and we'll have to screw around with it for another 30 years before we cave and go single-payer like everyone else. Trying to balance too many interests.

As for as the social agenda stuff, I don't think he gives a shit. I think his wife gives a big shit -- I'm fairly sure Michelle Obama gauges her positions via morning women's talk shows -- but I don't think he does. We got No Child Left Behind basically the same way in the W1 term.

Ted Cruz. And it's laughable to think that Madame Hillary isn't now a silver spooner.

I don't think Hillary will have the Black Panther intimidation factor on her side. That's why the Democrats have got to hurry up and give non-resident Mexicans voting rights...and oh, maybe a couple of imported playthings to Bill for those boring nights as First Man.

    I might translate that as:

[translate]The general electorate has the tendency to, no matter what, view young GOPers as entitled silver-spooners.[/translate]

Which is amazing given the BOOTSTRAPS! pedigrees of some of the Democrats' leading lights over the years.

Apparently you'll turn anything into partisan propaganda.

No. They generally come off that way. You know how I know that? Because the Republicans sent those guys to the general election. Not Democrats. There are a ton of salt of the earth Republicans out there who look at guys like Marco Rubio and see an big bag of slightly fartish wind.
