The only thing Time didn't do was superimpose a halo over Barry's head.
    This while demonizing the opposition.
Showing McCain looking old or Palin snarling.
Showing another one eating a hot dog - as if no one doesn't look like a fucking idiot if you shoot a photo of them while they're putting food into their mouth.

it's true. there were even rallies with people shouting his name ! ?

really weird. never in the history of us politics have the people who supported a candidate for president been enthusiastic about their support.

go to youtube and watch clips of other political rallies. people are just sitting there with their hands in their laps, nodding their heads when they agree with something.

but with obama, people were excited about his presidency. it just made no sense.

    Let's recap.

Obama --> globalist sellout and servant to the bankers who made and financed him.
Putin --> patriot who kicked out the globalists that had taken over Russia after the Soviet bloc crumbled.

Summer school has ended for the day.
    Go forth in peace.
    Or something like that.

You only know how to play one note, don't you?

Folks believed he would close Gitmo. They believe he would fight for gay rights, and gay marriage. They believed he would fight for tough environmental laws (and lower the sea levels). They believed he would fight for singe payer healthcare. They believed he would end George W. Bush's National Security measures, that they saw as infringing on our civil liberties.

They believed all of things -- and more -- despite his reluctance, in most cases, to ever come out and confirm that he shared these views/priorities.

that's completely true. never before had voters believed that a presidential candidate was going to do what he said.

i remember romney's speech at the republican national convention -- where no one clapped or shouted anything -- when he said, "these are the things that i want to accomplish, but let's be honest, 90 percent of this shit isn't going to get done."

Also worth noting: Obama HAS fought for gay rights and gay marriage. He's done more to advance that cause than any of his predecessors. To try to slide that in as "another failed Obama promise" is crap.

nice try liberal trash. but gay people can't get married in all 50 states, so your saviour obama is a liar.

Can anyone here enumerate Obama's successes?
    In either term?
    Seriously, let's fucking hear them.

Dipshit, they believed he was going to do things he promised.

That's the point. Inky said, "That's the great thing about Obama, he is everything to his critics - no matter how outlandish or stupid."

Yet, Obama was "everything to his supporters." They all just assumed he was on board with every one of their policy goals.

And, this is where I question myself. Why do I try to engage a one trick pony in discussion? You're a sock puppet, engaging purely in sarcasm, and you think you're making wonderful points with each post.

Why don't you just sign in with your other handle and discuss these points like an adult? Don't we already have enough trolls and sock puppets?

So, gay rights supporters were not disappointed with Obama for his failure to do more to advance their priorities?
