The actual quote, from PP's Facebook page, is this:

    https://www.facebook.com/PPofIN

"As this article notes, heartbreaking stories like this are all too common in Indiana, which ranks second in the number of teen sexual assaults. Comprehensive sex ed can make a difference in preventing sexual assaults."

It was in response to this story, which is worth reading through all the way. It's a heartbreaker in so many ways.

    http://www.indystar.com/article/20130605/NEWS/306050112/An-Elwood-girl-became-pregnant-sexual-assault-13-her-case-illustrates-growing-problem-Indiana

    A couple of points:

    1. Planned Parenthood didn't say comprehensive sex ed would have prevented this particular crime. So Huckabee is wrong.

    2. In response to comments on the site, Planned Parenthood added this explanation: "Comprehensive sex ed teaches young males what is appropriate and what is not in healthy relationships. That no means no. That if they proceed after any resistance or uncertainty, it's sexual assault. That by law, someone as young as this cannot give legal consent. That the victim of a sexual assault is never to blame."

    3. In retrospect, Planned Parenthood might have been better off posting the story without comment. The story itself (in which PP is not quoted) places more blame on Indiana's juvenile sexual assault laws as to why the state is No. 2 in teen sexual assaults. Actually, one flaw of the story might have been a discussion of what teens hear in sex education, although...

    4. ... it's not as if Planned Parenthood said the 13-year-old would have been better off getting an abortion. The girl (and her mother) decided, in accordance with their principles, to keep the baby. And, for that, some of the good people of God-loving, abortion-hating Elwood, Ind., have been vandalizing their home, repeatedly, with such messages as "Slut."

Ginsberg's dissent on the VRA decision was a Molotov cocktail of anger.

Also, since VRA passed the House by a wide majority and Senate unanimously, doesn't that make today's five who voted to overturn the dreaded "activist judges" we hear so much about?

Activist judges are the ones who overturn bad laws, you jackass. These guys are doing the clear will of the people.

Dementia is a very sad condition. I hope Ruth gets the proper medical attention.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. I mean getting Congress to agree 390-33 and 98-0 shows what a controversial issue VRA was back in 2006. I mean it practically divided a nation back then.

Your party is the one screaming for resignations every time it feels pouty.

How convenient that you file this away whenever it doesn't fit your next attack.

Doesn't matter anyway. There are no racist Republicans. It's a null set. What he described is literally impossible.

You have to like Huck on FB. Otherwise I guess it's at huckabee.com

It's a shame Huckabee won't man up and run for office. Much easier to have your staff compose Facebook messages and rake in that talk show money, I guess.

I will agree with you on that one Inky. As soon as I wrote a letter bitching to him about how he let his country down if he didn't act on his burden for it and seek higher office, I got an invite to contribute to his Huck PAC. I don't know if it's going to do any good, but since I called him out, and he returned favor, I put my money where my mouth is and made the first donation to any national campaign I've made since 1984.
