They backed down in the middle of the night? Good for them.

Oh, they'll be back . . . under attempted cover of darkness again, most likely . . . but the vigilent opposition will continue to foil their attempts to fiddle in things which are none of their goddamn business.

    The scream-in was tremendous theater.

That's how the U.S. Senate should do its filibuster. You stand up there and talk and don't lean and don't hand off and don't go to the bathroom and don't get off point and then you can have your filibuster. Wendy Davis did it.

Exactly. The de facto filibuster by threat sucks.

This is Republican logic we're talking about here. Heck, they want the country to base laws on a book that has a talking snake and a guy eaten by a whale.

Rick Perry carps about how Texas values all life just before the state is about to execute its 500th prisoner since 1982:

But ... but ... but ... Reagan said he ACCEPTED ALL RESPONSIBILITY!!!

    There ya go.

Strangely enough his resignation letter must have gotten lost in the inter-office mail.

And of course, the worst president this nation has ever had seizes the momentum of his puppet court justices and welcomes this piece of crap to the White House.

I wouldn't put anything past this creep that will do huge damage to any other minority getting the presidency.

After seeing the Supreme Court decision today, I am concerned that not a lot is happening on his watch. I am concerned that nothing healthy will be happening this fall, either.

I just wasted my votes the last two years, I guess.
