"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
    Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002-

    "Al Sharpton is a buffoon"

The RFK diary will be the gift that keeps on giving for The NYP.

I've never really detected an accent of any sort from him. I'm not super-up on the Chicago accent, though - my main exposure to it is from the "Da Bears" sketches.

Either way, I don't give a shit about his accent, or anyone else's.

He writes that Jesse Jackson has “a desperate and destructive addiction to publicity.”

He recalls that Jackson, at labor leader Cesar Chavez’s funeral, pushed “Cesar’s friends and family out of the way to make himself lead pall bearer.”

“His love affair with [Nation of Islam leader] Louis Farrakhan and his Jewish xenophobia are also unforgivable,” Kennedy adds.

“I feel dirty around him, and I feel like I’m being used. I feel like with Jesse, it’s all about Jesse.”

He certainly nails it in regards to Sharpton & Jackson.

Do other prominent Dems feel the same way? Would love to see the press ask some of them if they agree with Kennedy.

Well, I find it miraculous that a guy who grew up in Polynesia and schooled in the northeast has a full-blown Chicago accent in his early 50s, when it is most expedient for him to display one.
This guy isn't dumb, he's very calculating.
Not as smart as he thinks he is and not as smart as you squealers give him credit for, but not dumb.
He's always been a manipulator. That requires cunning.

I hate responding to very obvious sock puppet/trolls, but anyway...Have you actually heard anyone from Chicago speak before?

Makes a lot more sense to me that he was born where the birth certificate says he was than to think he spent millions of dollars buying off or threatening God knows how many people who could have revealed he was born somewhere else.

I don't respond to someone who insults me and then pretends to ask a polite question.

I behave on every thread but this one.
And even here, I am presenting arguments.
Which I do believe in, by the way.
Some of you guys don't like being disagreed with, do you?
Did this create much trouble for you growing up?
