Sorry ... shouldn't have had that third glass of wine. But the pitch was over the plate ...

No worries. We seem to be at the same place in our evenings.

I tell you what, cranberry, I knew that GM et al. weren't that big relatively speaking, but I was surprised at how not big they were. Even if you throw Delphi in with GM, they're still only about a fourth the size (employee-wise) of Wal-Mart.

Because Wal-Mart jobs pay just like GM jobs.

Not only that, but GM and the rest of the auto industry support an entire industry of suppliers that aren't under their umbrella.

    Please do better.

Is there somewhere we can find total annual wages paid and/or median wages for comparison sake? Who's after Wal-Mart? McDonalds? Yum Foods? Jobs aren't all created equally by the Job Creators.

Yeah, sure. And Wal-Mart's just an Everest in a cornfield. Nobody not working for Wal-Mart depends on Wal-Mart. [/bluefont]

SEC Edgar database has 10-Q and 10-K filings. They can be used for that sort of comparison.

Either I'm missing blue font or that's fucked up.

Did a rich person do something really, really bad to you? If so, I'm sorry.

But rich people have the capacity to suck. Poor people have the capacity to suck. A blanket statement like that about any group of people sucks the most.

    You spelled "politicians" wrong.

Would this be the suppliers they squeeze so hard in the race to the bottom quest to provide consumers with everyday low prices?

Sorry, I don't know how to do blue font. I suck.

Seriously, though, so many blanket statements are being tossed around here. I just wanted to fit in with one obvious for its ridiculousness.

If Romney loses -- and it's still not close to a sure thing -- the speed that Republicans eat him alive and blame him is going cause such vicious whiplash, I almost feel bad for him. It's obvious do many of theses guys hate his guts. Fun to take a quick trip down memory lane and remember how they felt about him the last few years.
