DD, if Obama somehow loses, will Dems view him as some kind of valiant hero, who was slain by the dragon, or will he be savaged by his own?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

    Dear Donald:

If you want to donate $5 million so badly, go ahead and do it already. If anything, if you donated it now to the Red Cross or some other disaster relief organization, it'd make you look like a rich human being who doesn't suck.

Instead, you're still stuck on some ridiculous tenth-rate issue that nobody, especially in your two states, gives a rat's ass about right now. So why don't you do everyone a favor and let the adults like Gov. Christie handle this.

    Sincerely,

    The Rest of America

I am confident, certainly more confident than last week, that this will remain a hypothetical. The auto CEOs speaking up about Romney's latest battle with the truth could be a proverbial game-changer, but I think he's on his way anyway.

    YF--

Don't be silly. We'll blame the electorate. After that, we'll blame the cowardly political press, and then probably Jim Messina. The President MIGHT be fourth on that list.

It's ok. I know deep down you loathe Mitt, and you damn sure don't trust him. You just loathe Obama more and trust him even less.

If Romney does get elected, I think it's safe to say everyone will hate him by '16. Just get Jeb Bush warm. We all know it should have been him in 2000 anyway.

    Here is the perfect scenario.....

Barry Hussein Osama wins the Electoral Votes
Shit I'm Wrongney wins the Popular Votes

    The Elephants win both houses.

This would ensure that Barry will be ridiculed as the "President Select" and also can't go crazy with his socialist horseshit and the conservative wackos can't tell us all when and where to go to church.....

Anyone else getting the impression Gov. Christie, based on his effusive Obama praise the last couple days, is beginning to think abou '16?

And here's Dana Milbank's take on Romney lying about Chrysler and GM..

This whole Jeep thing is an interesting moment for the political press. It's clear that it's always been ok to bend the truth a little in campaigns. You "mislead" and the press mostly smirks and turns it into he said/he said thing. But there is also a line that most candidates stop short of, and Romney appears to have crossed it. I really think its a miscalculation to keep pushing something that is blatantly false. But maybe I'm wrong. It's clear the Romney campaign has decided they might be able to overcome people calling them on this by just blanketing Ohio with ads making shit up. Will it backfire?

Just because "you're telling us this" doesn't make it true. I know a few people who go to Tea Party rallies. They're not birthers. They tell me the vast majority of Tea Partiers are not birthers. They just think the prez has done a horseshit job. But you'll find one birther sign at some Tea Party rally in Murfreesboro and think it means they're all birthers. You're falling into just as much a conspiracy theory as the birthers are.

The vast majority of Tea Partiers were predisposed to think Obama did a shitty job the minute he got elected.

And just because they are one step away from the lunatic fringe - that doesn't make them wrong on that point, though it was probably closer to an hour after he took office before he began to show us all what a fucking idiot he is.
