You're surprised by this? Moddy turned the sports section into the Brook Jacoby version of Tiger Beat months ago.

Every time a legitimate news outlet cites a rumor started by an anonymous message board poster I'm surprised and saddened by it.

It all comes back to Mike Slive somehow...

I see him as part of the group effort, for at least the past 10 days, to make things look a lot better than they are in hopes of boosting turnout for the down-ticket races where it will matter. Hey, it doesn't cost anything with a media willing to fill air time and Internet space with anything anyone says.

Morris has been on the Romney landslide wagon since late spring/early summer.

Then, there's the broad foreign-policy brushoff inherent in the movement, which has made it extraordinarily difficult to take Ron Paul at all seriously.

In that column, Morris has Republican Senate candidates winning two races where they are currently down 20 points.

Screw the math. I'll take Morris' gut feeling.

I won't be happy until I see a "Wlat" reference in the New York Times.

Political hypocrisy is totally emblematic of only one of the parties.

Ross Douthat: A lot of silly liberal dreamers think Wlat could have won at Pitt if he recruited a great black quarterback like Donovan McNabb. But on SportsJournalists.com, one poster named Mark explains why they're wrong.

Morris must enjoy an exceptional fantasy life.
