Nate Silver debunked Gallup weeks ago. I no longer take their polls seriously. Using Gallup now is like looking at baseball batting average as a measure of production.

If a person is pro-life, why would it matter what the source of the pregnancy was? I've not heard one of these guys encouraging or condoning rape; the media just makes it out that way. As one talk show host suggested, when you start a list of exceptions you are headed down a slippery slope. Either abortion is OK or it isn't.

I have said for a long time that the only people in the whole pro-abortion/anti-abortion kerfucka-fuffle who actually act in accordance with their proclaimed belief are the clinic bombers.

Because if you really truly believe in your heart of hearts that cute innocent sweet little babies are being slaughtered inside the clinics, you should grab your nearest implement of death and destruction, get out there, get down to your nearest clinic, and STOP it.

The fact that 99.9999997% of all "pro-lifers" never do this indicates that even though they incessantly yammer they believe it's a human life, deep down, they really don't. If they did, they'd DO something about it.

Romney's campaign is getting destroyed this week because of his right wing-pandering positions on FEMA and the auto industry bailout... Couldn't be happier that the auto industry gets to put the finals in this campaign's coffin.

But the gist is that the government should have stayed on the sidelines and allowed the companies to go through what he calls “managed bankruptcies,” financed by private capital.

That sounds like a wonderfully sensible approach — except that it’s utter fantasy. In late 2008 and early 2009, when G.M. and Chrysler had exhausted their liquidity, every scrap of private capital had fled to the sidelines.

I know this because the administration’s auto task force, for which I was the lead adviser, spoke diligently to all conceivable providers of funds, and not one had the slightest interest in financing those companies on any terms. If Mr. Romney disagrees, he should come forward with specific names of willing investors in place of empty rhetoric. I predict that he won’t be able to, because there aren’t any.

The American Conservative released all its writers endorsements today. Most are voting for Gary Johnson, after that it's pretty evenly divided between Romney and Obama.

Their biggest gripe with Romney is his neoconservative advisors on foreign policy.
