Actually get it right - the term is Fucktard, not Stoopid Fucking Retards.....

And if I am not a "wingnut" why would I be hording canned goods and fortifying my door in the basement? That's what wingnuts are doing.

Your side has won the popular vote once in the last 24 years.

I cannot and will not argue with this assessment. It is quite fair.

So why are the Republicans lying about everything then?

See my earlier comment re: the bogus-ness of the popular vote in Presidential elections.

Except he still thinks he is running against George Bush, at least if you pay attention to what he says....

And once again, I conceded there was bound to be some drop in his numbers because his numbers were so good the first time around but if he truly has "delivered on his promises" it shouldn't be this great.

Romney has made some mistakes - every candidate, except perhaps Obama in '08, does.

But don't forget that this was a bloodbath until two deft moves by him:

    (1) Selecting Paul Ryan as a running mate, hence stirring that unexcited base;
    (2) Proving his mettle in the first debate.

Regardless, though, what you're doing is distilling a complex set of factors that go into the result of an election into two words: "Obama sucks." It's simply more complicated than that.

P.S. What RickStain said. And - he kind of alluded to this - but a lot of his voters consist of people for whom voting is a novelty. It's no easy task to get them back for repeat business.

No, wingnuts are preparing for the return of Jesus, perhaps brought about by war with Iran. I don't believe I've ever seen you express anything other than a skepticism for religion. Anti-government, anti-corporate, anti-leftist, anti-religious types like yourself seem to be preparing to bunker down and root for mutual destruction.

Here is how our system needs to change in order to truly reflect the values of the people in this country ---

Keep the electoral college but dish votes based on the percentage within each state won as opposed to a winner take all approach.

This would keep parts of the country engaged that are always left out because the states are never contested.

It would mean Barry would have to go to Texas to campaign as hard as he does in Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania while Mitt would go to California and New York.

This would give us a far more true picture of what Americans want because every pocket of society would have a voice.

No worries. I wasn't talking about you, rather the quality of the discussion. I've seen your pathetic act enough over the year to have already written you off as a frothing-at-the-mouth, unhappy-about-everything libertarian.

Serious question: Has one person ever made up their mind on who to vote for because of a TV ad?

I can understand the ability to target a lot of people in one span of 30 seconds, but after that, I just don't get it. Anyone with one ounce of literacy knows 99 percent of any political ad can't be believed.

OK, thanks, thanks for clearing that up.

    I get it now.

No excuse me, I have to go to the Supermarket, I hear there is a special on baked beans and canned corn.
