Neither has anyone whose last name ended in an "A."

OK, presidential trivia: Who are the other U.S. presidents whose last name ended with a vowel? Hint: There are four. Last names ending in -y count as consonants.

Let's put it this way . . . should Obama win, and there's no incumbent to deal with in '16, would expect CC to give it his best shot.

Saving the auto industry and reviving the rust belt is a very positive talking point for Obama because it made a difference in the lives of millions of middle-class people and it demonstrates a very distinct difference with Romney, who was against providing the money the industry needed to survive during the desperate times we faced in the winter of '09.

When Romney deliberately tries to mislead people about it or distorts the facts, he will need to be called out on it. Sorry if that seems negative to you but it does smack of desperation and it does make him look small to be rooting against a great American industry.

The auto industry bailout was the shining moment of Obama's first term IMHO, even more than the passage of Obamacare, which was another great accomplishment, or hunting down Bin Laden or getting out of Iraq or using drones to effectively and efficiently fight terrorists.

I dunno. Whenever I start thinking about why value-judgments exist lately, I get pretty existential and depressed.

    So, it just does.

That's a great idea, but as we all (unfortunately) know, campaigning is about saying whatever it takes to make everyone happy, and you don't become popular by suggesting there is sacrifice ahead.

I'm not the first one to note this, but found it interesting . . . when a golfer's up against a non-golfer, the golfer ALWAYS wins.

Except he didn't "save" the auto industry - he temporarily kept it afloat until the next time it goes belly up in a few years.

He didn't "fix" anything, he put a band aid on it and that's all people care about - they had their jobs for a few more years, but they are no more secure today than they were and the next economic downturn, they will be going to the government for another bailout.

The right move was to not bail out the auto industry and let it rebuild on its own under a completely different structure, one that makes economic sense and has true long-term affect.

But again, Obama has mastered the art of "if you rob Peter to pay Paul you can always count on Paul's vote" and in this case, he bought a bunch of votes with other people's money.

But, hey if it makes you sleep better to believe nonsense like he "saved" any industry, have at it.
