    Aren't most public editors useless?

As for the Review-Journal's editorial, if the Editorial Board is writing about Benghazi in criticizing Obama, then the members of the board are seriously mentally ill when they go the wingnut route instead of focusing on issues that affect Las Vegas. Ignoring the economy there confirms their stupidity. The fact o_t brought it up isn't surprising in the least, as it's been years, apparently, since he's been relevant.

OK, I have no idea what the hell just happened but I just saw a freaking political ad for someone named Randall Terry - I am assuming it is the wing nut who protests abortion clinics -- that linked Obama to some sort of terrorist group and showed actual footage of people being beheaded and all kinds of gross shit.

Was I hallucinating or did anyone else see this nonsense? What the fuck.

It was "Vote Randall Terry for President"

    Is this for real?

Being critical of the way Benghazi has been handled is joining the wingnut crowd? Seriously?

Yep, and WUSA in D.C. was ordered by the FCC Media Bureau to run his ad.

I mean, yes, he should be allowed to have air time or whatever, that's not my point.

My point is (1) I thought it was like bad attempt at an SNL skit at first and (2) that dude is a sick fuck.

You and I don't agree on much but I think you would agree that dude is fucked up.

And more importantly - what the fuck is wrong with the people in West Virginia that this fucking idiot is on the ballot there?

I think things might have been done better in Benghazi too. The problem is there are so many unanswered questions about what actually happened there, it's difficult to defend the way it was handled. And, of course, the absence of information allows the wingnuts to fill the void with conspiracy theories.

It isn't puppy dogs and rainbows. All the economic indicators are pointing to the worst being in the rearview mirror. All the numbers are improving. That will continue regardless of who the president is, as I think that in terms of day-to-day, the Oval Office occupant doesn't matter much.

You're not, but I have to admit I damn near choked upon reading this by the WaPo's Richard Cohen ...

I'll wear that badge with honor. I think abortion is wrong, I think gay marriage is wrong, I think this administration has abandoned Israel, and I believe in small government. I think the fact that people on food stamps have risen from 25 to 47 million in the last four years is disgusting. Anyone can disagree with those stances but to defend this administration's handling of Benghazi is ridiculous. If Benghazi happened under George W. Bush this board would be in full fury.

    No argument there.
