The only thing I dislike about Wal-Mart is that their prices aren't any better than higher-quality places anymore. They've become the worst of both worlds.

For groceries, thank goodness for Aldi.

Does this trivial little fact ameliorate some of the outrage?

I'm sure they do plenty wrong. In fact, they demonstrably do plenty wrong. That's why we have the FTC, the SEC, etc., etc.

But to expect businesses to do any less than act out of their own self-interest, within the law, is living in fantasy land.

And August revised from 142,000 to 192,000, September from 114,000 to 148,000. Sheesh, if Obama's fudging the numbers, he's not exactly doing it to his advantage by having revisions up later, after no one notices. OR WAS THAT PART OF HIS PLOT ALL ALONG???????

For all the talk of other things, Romney's campaign has come down to the idea that Obama is incapable of managing the economy, while he is. So that means for Romney to win, Obama had to fail. Whether or not Obama is responsible for the monthly job growth, the numbers aren't so starkly negative that it's clear to most voters that the other guy should get a shot.

And, by the way, whatever happens with Romney, there are going to be Republicans in a real snit fit because they well may lose control of the Senate because of the Tea Party dimbulbs in Missouri and Indiana who, thanks to their foot-in-mouth disease, are losing winnable races. I'll bet Richard Lugar is having a hearty, rueful laugh.

If this is true, it invalidates his whole presidency!

George, you know and I know that had the report concluded the opposite, the GOP would have run copies over to Fox News faster than Usain Bolt.

I don't get the effort in some conservative corners to still run with the "WE DON'T KNOW THIS GUY" strategy. I mean, the guy has been president for four years, so we have some idea how he operates.

So the GOP now acknowledges that Obama actually attended Columbia and Harvard?

    That's progress in my book.

Don't just focus on groceries. If you're feeding and clothing a family that includes relatively young children, Wal-Mart can be a godsend.

Where can I find Mitt Romney's college transcripts?

Also: Why did he transfer out of Stanford? Too tough for him? At least Obama transferred up.
