Gallup polls from 32 years ago are utterly meaningless to this environment today.

Again, because it was ignored the first time: Polling is far more reliable and sophisticated today.

Nate Silver nailed 49/50 states in the last election.

This is the same logic that leads people to rebut climate change evidence by telling me that, "In the 1970s, they said there was going to be global cooling!"

Well, science sucked in the '70s. Particularly science utilizing computer modeling. It sucks less now.

    You're right.

Even Fox News has Romney trailing at this point, I guess they're part of the LIBRUHL media now.

Polls are only as good as their samples. Who really thinks that there will be a bigger Dem turnout than in 2008? Who thinks people are more excited to vote for Obama this time around?

Who thinks people are excited to vote for Romney?

The lack of enthusiasm is hitting both sides.

Every election I hear the same thing about how the polls aren't taking this into account ("The Bradley Effect!") or that into account ("Cell phones!").

And every time, all that speculation goes for naught.

Well, I'd bet there are more people excited to vote against the failure of the last four years than for the failure of the last four years.

Really? Because you've been offered several bets on this thread and have declined to take a single one.

You troll a good game, but you're not willing to put any skin into it.

And yet you refuse to put your money where your mouth is. Just a dumbass troll who doesn't believe the bullshit he's peddling.
