As someone who has voted in both city and suburban areas, I don't see how there are hours-long lines to vote. I too have never waited for more than 20 minutes and that is including moving to a new town where I wasn't even sure of my polling place.

If there is such a demand or if there is a lack of polling places, I think common sense wod dictate opening more polling places and hiring more poll workers, no?

Only if your goal is to make sure everybody who wants to vote can do so. Some people have less altruistic goals.

This is a really good piece about all the claims you see here about how "The polls have to be wrong because people aren't as enthusiastic about Obama as they were in 08, so the sampling is way off!".

The New Republic has published a ton of super smart shit this election.

I think we're past wondering if Obama can maintain his "firewall".
He's trending to drop at least half of it already.
Boys, the president should start packing his things.
You all ran a good race, talked the good talk and fought a good fight.
    But it's about to end.
    Here's a clue why:
While Romney was drawing 30,000 supporters in Ohio the other night, the prez could only get about 3K.
Worse, at a Cleve. stop, with Stevie Wonder granting a free concert, Obama only drew 200 people.
    Two hundred people.
Think about that for a moment, members and moderators.

"Conservative" in Madison means Socialist rather than Communist.

Oh yeah, this will really work out well:
NJ residents "displaced by storm" to vote by email

3OctaveFart is predicting a tight Romney victory.
But one thing to consider, members and moderators.
A Republican hasn't been declared a winner on the actual date of the election since November 8, 1988.
That's a long time ago, fools.
So.....if Romney does win....we won't know until about Thursday.

Didn't about 250,000 more registered Republicans voted in early voting in Ohio than in 2008? A state Obama won by just about than narrow a margin.
