    The Saturday event was at the Delta Center, not the Arena.

    Right?

    I'll never vote for him but doesn't Paul Ryan - as a product - test himself on the open market every two years? Granted, he's in a relatively safe Republican district, but he does seem to be a pretty good salesman.

    Nobody except the rich should want what he's selling.

    NY Daily News endorses Romney:

    " Offering a rosy vision of a country already on the rise, Obama argues that he would lead a resurgence by staying the course. He posits that spending in areas such as education and clean energy would be beneficial, and he sees raising taxes on high-income earners as key to “balanced” deficit reduction. Each on its own is attractive, but the whole comes up short.

    The presidential imperative of the times is to energize the economy and get deficits under control to empower the working and middle classes to again enjoy the fruits of an ascendant America.

    So The News is compelled to stand with Romney."

    A bit of a surprise given Mort Zuckerman's democratic leaning.

    Boom, as I noted before, Zuckerman has been an increasingly bitter critic of Obama's administration in the past couple of years. You should see him on TV, except I bet you already have.

    I have watched him in the past few months and found him to be a fair and intellectually honest critic of Obama. I certainly did not anticipate it leading to a Romney endorsement though.

    Zuckerman's chief gripe seems to be the feeling that Obama does not understand how business and the economy works.

    Zuckerman hates Obama's guts for the same reason the Likud senator from Connecticut does.

    As for the stunningly obtuse, disingenuous and cynical NYDN endorsement, I shredded the shit out of it at 02:36 yesterday morning.

    Essentially it attacks Obama for failing to do the things the obstructionist saboteur GOP went to unprecedented lengths to prevent him from doing, then lauds Romney for social programs and safety nets he has made abundantly clear he intends to shred to bits, and commends him for jobs and tax "plans" he has repeatedly refused to release to the public -- under the reasoning he would be swiftly defeated if he did.

    Awesome ::) ::)

    The whole thing is just so willfully obtuse I can only imagine the editorial writers were ordered to write it by Zuck and just decided to write the whole thing through gritted teeth in a moronic concern-troll voice.

    Why the hell would we do that? Why would you do that? Are you so emotionally fragile that if your candidate doesn't win, you'd disappear?
