A note here about no-holds-barred: I assumed people could figure out it meant at least in the context of the discussion. Taking a random shot at someone who has not participated in this thread is not what we meant.

This thread is not an opportunity to vent about all you hate. You call someone a "mo-fo" in the discussion, fine. You call someone who isn't here a "mo-fo" just because? Not fine.

    Voter fraud!

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/sns-la-rnc-cuts-ties-with-voterdrive-firm-accused-of-fraud-20120928,0,7531252.story

Oh, wait, it is voter fraud being conducted on behalf of the Republican National Committee in an illegal and deliberate attempt to disenfranchise Democratic voters.

The next sound you'll hear is crickets from the Republicans and their various media outlets.

Any GOPers want to defend this?

Sure, the GOPers will defend that....right after defending the votes that killed the recent veterans' job bill.

I can't wait for the debates.
What will Romney say when he's forced to think out loud?

Not to step on your toes, but it would also be nice if people didn't take complete advantage of "no holds barred." It would be great to be able to talk about this stuff on a regular basis again, and I'm guessing that will depend on how people comport themselves here. Just because you CAN act like an idiot doesn't mean that you SHOULD.

I think that's part of the experiment, to see if anyone's default setting in this environment is politesse.

I'm fine with it like this. When the standard was "no attacks, no name calling," it automatically handed the power to the irresponsible crazies while the rest of us cringed. Now we don't have to coax them into decent behavior they are inacaple of just to be able to talk about grown-up stuff.
