    Individuals act out of self-interest.

Government should proceed with that in mind and set policy that curbs the destructive results of that in a world that is dynamic, with market failures like poverty and asymmetry of information and transaction costs, and not theoretical.

The "Delta" Center is the convention center downtown, which has the 12,000-seat arena connected to it. But now reading accounts, it was on the second floor of the convention center, which doesn't even have anywhere near the 12,000 capacity that the arena has. The claim of 20,000 is even more of a joke.

188000 square feet's a pretty big space. Like three football fields worth of standing room.

Fuckin' A. I'd rather charities get the money than the government.

Capone paid zero taxes and didn't contribute anything to charity. Nice try, however.

Why assume charities are getting any of that money?

Doesn't Mitt Romney owe the same obligation to America that America expects of us all?

Wasn't it America that afforded Mitt Romney his chance to succeed in his own "self-interest?"

If you want him to pay more taxes, change the laws.

Unless you can prove he did something illegal, there's nothing wrong with moving money around to try to avoid taxes. It's no morally different than taking a deduction on your 1040EZ.

Capone paid partial taxes - and hid the off-the-books money in banks. He also gave lavishly to charity.
