Obama cuts defense. Mass layoffs on the horizon. Obama Administration tries to strongarm the companies to not announce the layoffs till after the election. The left yawns at both the job losses and the heavy-handed politicking out of the White House.

I think they're counting on the resulting riots in Muslim nations to sway voters.

The local news is reporting that thousands of registrations in Palm Beach County alone will now be reviewed. I believe at least six other counties are reviewing registrations as well.

Earlier this year, the Republican controlled government tried to get some Dems off the voting rolls. Alleging concerns about voter fraud, originally 180,000 voters identified as potentially illegally registered noncitizens - only 22% of these were Republican while 40% were registered Dems and the remaining 38% unaffiliated. Ultimately only 207 voters Statewide, or 0.001% of registered voters, were found to be illegal.

According to the Palm Beach Post, "the Florida Secretary of State said in a statement that the initiative "is already proving to be a successful process to identify illegally registered voters," which he noted is curcial in a state where the 2000 presidential election was decided by the U.S.Supreme Court and what R can even trust them after the healthcare decision 537 votes."

    [/quote]
The 'voter fraud' disenfranchisement stuff pisses me off so much...it's almost too muc to handle. I find that shit blatantly un-American. People throw bullshit barriers in front of the right to vote then go to sleep peacefully every night. And they tout this as a patriotic act. It's fucking pathetic.

It's great to be a deficit hawk - until something actually gets cut.

Problem is Obama only cuts programs that the Constitution says the government is actually supposed to do.

    In no way true.

And you may want to re-read the Preamble and Article 1.

An excellent column on why Mittsy continues to lose support among Independents and even his fellow conservatives. Hard to get behind a candidate who, at this late stage, keeps dodging demands to reveal what he would do as president.

Blind leading the blind? Ask this guy:

In the Sarasota crowd, I spoke with Billy Murphy, a retiree holding a poster board with the hand-lettered message: “NO REDISTRIBUTION TO FREELOADERS.” Murphy, an avowed foe of President Obama, will support Romney — but he does not know why. “He hasn’t really told the people yet what he’s gonna do,” Murphy said. “We need to know.” Noting Murphy’s sign, I suggested that he must, at least, agree with Romney’s criticism of the 47 percent of Americans who pay no federal income taxes and expect government handouts. “I don’t know,” Murphy said, suddenly sheepish. “I’m one of the 47 percent. I’m on Social Security.”

As part of a concern-troll post asking people to not talk about it any more. Gotcha.

Problem with people like tony is, the more facts you give him, the more he holds on to his delusions.
