I was referring to parsing TSP's post. I could be wrong, but I don't think he was implying the companies would be illegally investigating each employee to determine for whom he or she voted.

They're both AFC teams. If you're going to make a comparison, at least pick an NFC team.

Obama is the New York Jets. Won the Super Bowl once, making them sentimental favorites for far too long, especially in the eyes of journalists.

Romney is the Philadelphia Eagles, a gilded lily.

Both have incredibly nasty fan bases.

I'm confident Romney loathes most of those people.

He's run a far better campaign than McCain did.

It's quaint and cool ... for 1980. But with all the early voting elsewhere, "first in the nation" doesn't really cut it.

    A prelude?

    Dixville Notch is tied 5-5!

    And we have a tie!

    Obama 5, Romney 5.

Seven of the last 10 general elections in Dixville Notch have predicted the winner.

So ... we're headed to 269-269!!!! Which is what I've been rooting for just for the media meltdown that would ensue.

    Re: THE 2012 POLITICS THREAD

In what must have been about 1998, I was driving from Montreal to Portland, ME, and realized I was close to Dixville Notch. The polling place is inside the Balsams, a beautiful resort hotel. So, we decided to stop and look around.

And so, as a political junkie, I'm able to say I've been in the room where they vote in Dixville Notch.
