Went to high school in his current district. I would vote for him. :)

Rasmussen shows McCaskill up 51-45, crossing 50 percent for the first time. Public Policy Polling has it 46-40.

Especially on Fox News and with Rush and Hannity and the like, they are blathering partly because of their delusions, partly because it's good business but largely because the only way to GOTV for the lower elections is to keep people excited about the big one. A very large number of people will skip voting if they think their presidential candidate is dead man walking.

For MSNBC and CNN, I agree they need to create the illusion of suspense. As long as Mitt doesn't poop his pants tonight and leave a stain that is visible on camera, he's going to be said to have "pulled himself back into this thing."

OK, I think the percentage of undecided voters on this thread is zero or a little less. So here's the question. Are you going to watch the debate tonight, since you already know how you're voting? I think that would be a colossal waste of my valuable baseball and sleeping time. Obama and Romney are both experienced pros. They're not going to screw up, and they're very likely not going to even be that aggressive, seeing as how Obama never is and Romney primary concern is somehow convincing women voters he's not a dick.

I will put it on the DVR and watch later as I can. I figure this is Romney's last stand so there's some merit to knowing how it turned out. I think the percentage of truly undecided voters nationwide is at an all-time low for this point in a campaign, but I do remember Kerry getting himself back into the race in 2004 by destroying Bush so thoroughly that the next day was devoted to GOP excuse-making (the flu was the leading culprit) and the following debate gave us Bush's Bulge.

I would watch the debate only to see if Romney can think on his feet while having to match wits with Obama. But I can read about that later tonight and tomorrow, so I guess I'll just do that.

The zingers are awesome. Creosote is right about that. Some of those writers could work for Henny Youngman someday.

I will also watch to see how big a wad of cash Romney brings for betting purposes. His record is $10,000, right?

Probably depends on the scores of the relevant baseball games when the debate starts.

I won't watch directly (not voting D or R), but I will keep an eye on Twitter for analysis from a handful of people I enjoy.

I'll watch for the comic relief and because I'm stuck with nothing better (aka preseason hockey games) to watch.

It amazes me that more than a year into this thing, we still know precious few specifics from Romney.

Any way you slice it, that's an awful lot of coin to waste.

All this talk about Zingers is making me hungry.
