Are you forecasting that or it's actually happening?

This was like watching Gordon Gekko beat up Bud Fox in Central Park.

Obama was looking at Lehrer, asking for a "time out" halfway through. This played out as I thought it would, with Romney as the stern, successful father telling a petulant teenager that he's is partying his way out of college. And Obama as the dreamer, convinced that if he throws down a 4.0 after three semesters full of C's, he will get into a good law school.

The President needs to stall and try and "talk out the clock" during the last two debates.

Oh, it's real, and it's really epic.

    He's so mad at Obama.

I tried to type out some highlights someplace else, but I couldn't keep up.

Or Obama could, you know, channel Bill Clinton and slap Romney around a bit.

The consensus seems to be crystallizing that Obama was bad and Romney was good. They both just looked okayish to me.

That was a terrible debate format.

    I have no more thoughts.

I am flying blind here and I will take the board experts' word for it to some degree, but I have been predicting for a week that this is how the narrative would go because everyone has such a massive self-interest (ratings) in making people believe the race is going down to the wire.

    I completely buy that theory.

I didn't see it tonight but people are comparing it to the first Bush-Kerry debate when Bush looked like he was ready to go to bed and Kerry looked polished and ready to roll.

The theory is sound, but that doesn't mean that Romney didn't kick the President's ass tonight.
