    Is this a trick question?

Please, no questions during the test. And use a No. 2 pencil, please.

Because if the correct answer is anything other "Thomas Jefferson" or "a lurid caricature of Leon Trotsky," I'm going to be very disappointed.

Sorry, that is an incorrect response. No one has ever accused Paul Ryan of being Ayn Rand. Please see the bursar on the way out to pay for traffic/library fines before picking up a copy of your transcript.

The president obviously reveres Lincoln. Whether or not he's been a faithful adherent is another matter.

The answer you're fishing for here is pretty clear.

    Fat jokes.

    Yay.

Christie needs to drop about 80-plus pounds before 2016. Too easy for the LCD Branch of the Dems to latch onto his weight.

Bruce Springsteen (at least during campaigns)

The Tea Party, in the presidential race, is Ross Perot writ large. Has assured a barely tolerated nominee for the GOP and assured he would not have passionate support. And left him a party platform that can be used liked a club over his head.

Also, the Tea Party cost the GOP a chance to retake the Senate in 2010, and has assured a widening of the Democrats' edge this year. Don't like Olympia Snowe? Fine, ya got Angus King, who will caucus with the Democrats.

In short, a movement that attacks Orrin Hatch for not being conservative enough should be purged from the GOP, which can actually gain stature by being able to emphasize fiscal reform while getting garbage like attacking gay marriage out of the playbook.

Now, I dunno what having three significant parties would do to governance, but knowing where everyone truly stood wouldn't hurt

At least among those who like seeing our Embassies torched and our Ambassadors raped and killed.

Thanks to the mods for allowing this thread--that's all; I apologize for having nothing uncivil to add to the discussion just yet. :)

Bruce has quite pointedly declined to overtly endorse Obama so far. He's been very circumspect in all interviews but he's let slip some hints he is somewhat less than enamored with Obama's punt-on-first-down approach to legislative negotiation.

However it's quite safe to assume he won't be endorsing the other guy, unless Mitt gave him a good deal on discount horse chow.

    Awesome. Thanks for the advice.

Now, let me tell you what's wrong with the Democrat Party...
