Yeah, he did a piss-poor job defeating Hillary Clinton and John McCain.

Or is it your argument it was all massages and blowjobs from them in 2008?

Because either way, you're an idiot.

How do you know it's a lie. Isn't there such a thing as making a mistake?
Did Obama lie when he said he'd have unemployment below 8 percent and cut the deficit when he got elected? Hasn't happened. Does that make him a liar?

You should have seen him lecturing the audience, then attempting humor prior to the debate on CSPAN. I have a great deal of respect for Mr. Lehrer, but this should be his swan song.

Four years ago, he ran as a challenger on a psychological platform of "Hope and Change". This time around he has a mixed-bag record to defend, while Romney gets to go on the attack and take shots at him.

Easier to be the challenger sometime.

So Romney was mistaken when he said his plan would cover those with preexisting conditions?

Yeah, that is my point. That you can't simply look at two sets of numbers and draw solid conclusion solely from that. It seems that is what Romney tries sometimes with his numbers.

That's what happens when you're an empty suit who hasn't accomplished anything.

    Re: THE 2012 POLITICS THREAD

Maybe Romney can get more done as president, being a Republican.

Seems there was a certain segment of the populus, and congress, that vowed from day one to oppose Obama every step of the way. Rush Limbaugh's famous "I want him to fail" speech, before Obama ever took office, comes to mind. Republicans have fought him every step of the way, no matter what the topic or how sound the proposal. The old schoolyard "since I'm not the boss, I'm not going to play, I'll sit in my corner and sulk" mentality.

Maybe Democrats would be more willing to work with Romney than Republicans have been to work with Obama.

OK, finished. Initial reaction: Um ... Very one-sided. Not close.

    Off to read the spin.

I totally agree but most politicians fiddle with numbers to make policies work ... or make it look like they could work.
