Agreed, Norrin, there isn't much that's raw or renegade here. Then I guess it's hard to get really worked up about the particularly bad television we were treated to tonight.

Sounds about right. That was right around when the GOP threw a fit that Clinton dared to beat their guy to win the presidency.

Classy tweet from KitchenAid's corporate account:

"Obamas gma even knew it was going 2 b bad! ‘She died 3 days b4 he became president’. #nbcpolitics”

FWIW. This race was basically tied since Romney clinched the nomination. Then Obama got a bump from his convention and the 47 percent thing. Now Romney's gonna get a bump (if he doesn't, it's over, but he will). So we're likely back where we started. It's the default mode of an essentially tied country.

Those -400 odds on Obama were ludicrous. In a country where a landslide is 53 percent of the vote, no candidate is ever worse than 2-1.
I will say I have learned this about Presidential elections. The In party's guy doesn't always win, but he does get to bat last. Even McCain made up a lot of ground in the final two weeks, as his base of support asserted itself.

No tax cuts for the rich.

Never saw so many lies from Frankenstein in one calendar day. Had to be a record.

In fairness, AQB, a failed campaign promise is not quite the same thing as a lie. It's an unfulfilled hope. Should Romney be elected, he will become the beneficiary of that distinction, too. We have a system of checks and balances that is all checks and no balance.

    Still a lie.

The problem for Romney seems to be that while Obama's ceiling is probably about 53%, his floor doesn't look like it's going to drop below 50% in this election.
