    This.

And it will be interesting to see how Obama adjusts in the next debate.

Yes, where the questioners are the de facto moderators and the candidates have to be nicer to them.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost twice the annual budget of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting every day for the last ten years.

It's a really simple concept that it clearly appears doesn't actually work in the real world, judging by what happened during the Dubya and Reagan eras when we actually tried the supply side bullshit.

So after that debate, which Harvard grad with a poor job creation record, who signed a individual mandate healthcare plan into law and is aloof at times, is leading the race?

The really big winner last night? Chris Matthews' liquor supplier.

Romney also grabbed the mantle of Alpha Male last night.

When you get in trouble and need a leader, an Alpha Male answers the call. That's what Romney did last night. The President looked lost, leaderless and like a man who couldn't bother to be prepared for a presidential debate.

This brings the question: if Obama is like this when his political career is on the line, how much attention will he pay to dreary policy discussions that aren't televised with friendly hosts or with squealing college kids?

Romney deals in numbers, the president deals in emotions.

The President looked lazy, bored, vague, disinterested and without a plan.

Just like much of his support base.

Now the President will probably prep harder before Debate #2 but he does need Biden to not get boat-raced in the same fashion by Ryan. Before last night, if Romney would lose in November, that's on Romney. He has the metrics on his side. If Romney loses now (barring a major gaffe), that's not on Romney. That's on the voters.

Or the unemployed guy looked better rested than the sleep-starved workaholic leader of the Free World.

    One of the two.

I am not saying that lower taxes drive higher income. I don't think that a tax cut will instantly create more jobs or more wealth. I am saying that if you have more income, you can pay more actual dollars in taxes while also getting a tax rate cut. Tax rate cut and revenue growth are not mutually exclusive.

Obama looked better than Reagan in the first debate in 1984.
