Pete Carroll will leave LA for eastern Tennessee? Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh.

Kiffin will be an amazing recruiter. I think Washington would be a better fit than Tennessee.

If I'm Leach, I jump at this job. Unless Stoops leaves OU, I don't see him doing much better.

It's typical SEC fanboard shit. Every alum thinks their job is the best in the nation and every coach would do anything to get there. If Carroll leaves USC for anywhere, it will be for the Niners job and I don't think he would even do that.

    I still say Tub.
Very good coach and his style would play well in Tennessee.
Tennessee isn't looking for a flash in the pan.
Fulmer was at the school for a total of 35 years.
The Vols have had two head coaches since the 1980s, they are looking for stability.

Can Tyler Hansbrough coach college football?

  7. Actually, Maryland's probably in the top half of the ACC in terms of interest in football. (Ahead of the four NC schools, BC and Virginia.)

Pete Carroll has the greatest job in the world. It would be foolish for him to leave.

    Lane Kiffin? Maybe?

I dunno about that. I'd say Maryland and BC probably are about the same, actually, as schools that are down in the pecking order in big markets. BC has a small fanbase, but a vocal one, and a lot of big-cash alums.

Remember, when Fridge went to Maryland, George Welch still was at UVa, putting together some decent teams, Chapel Hill was living off Mack Brown's fumes and Chuck Amato was keeping his head above water at N.C. State. And, yeah, Florida State still was Florida State. He successfully mined the juco ranks, and they were ridiculous right out of the gate.

Typical ESPN cluster-eff. All day, ESPN has been saying Chris Low broke the story. Now, ESPN Radio is saying Keith Law broke the story. Come on, guys. Get your shit straight.

Of all the names mentioned on this thread, Tuberville should be the first call.

I would not hire Tuberville. The disaster at Auburn has been his doing. Hiring, firing OC's.
