    This is one of those stories you tell forever, even though it ought to make you evaluate some life choices.

    Also, his buddy's commentary is great: "Yeah, I imagine you're gonna fuckin' die. You're underneath the fuckin' train! That's fuckin' awesome, though."

    This train stuff... doesn't feel funny to me at all. My step dad worked for Amtrak, midnight calls happened. White hats meant supervisors. Orange hats were workers. My brother worked his way to white hat. And beyond. They deal with, and answer to, jumpers on tracks. It's... nothing funny. Even the thought, just no.

    Just to add, the Atlanta Marta head threw himself in front of train. Knowing and perhaps hoping the havoc it would cause. Regular workers had to clean that scene. Not the people at his level.

    I will say, we once had a squirrel in our newsroom and I confidently told everyone to stop acting so scared.

    The squirrel catcher came in and said, “They will crawl up your pantleg once in a while.”

    I quickly exited the newsroom.
