I prefer Life of Brian to Grail, but both are solid.

    Personally I don't think it's close - I don't love Holy Grail.

  3. I enjoy Brian, and Grail's ending is awful (though it's a perfect Python ending), but to me, they aren't even in the same ballpark. Grail is simply the funniest movie I've ever seen. Brian is one that makes me laugh from time to time.

I like the chase scene in The Chase.

That's how Ricky Vaughn wound up in the California Penal League.

Meaning of Life is a good one too. I personally like Holy Grail more than Life of Brian, but I like the ending of LoB more than HG.

ANYTHING Mel Brooks. Blazing Saddles, History of the World Part 1, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

The Blues Brothers. Airplane! Bull Durham. Office Space was AWESOME (I just had to loan my copy to my boss, who is 10 years older than me and had never seen it. Oy. I did warn him to make sure his three-year-old was asleep while he was watching it.)

Oh, and the Pink Panther movies, with Peter Sellers. Those are some of my absolute FAVORITES.

I'm weird because I really don't like most modern comedies. Not only are they really trying too hard to be funny (and then they don't end up being funny at all), but it's already been done. Superbad made me want to shoot myself. Napoleon Dynamite has made me fall asleep all three times I attempted to watch it. Anything with Will Ferrell in it...ugh. Not a fan. I just watched Wedding Crashers and found the entire thought of it to be completely and utterly repulsive. Men who go to weddings to nail girls who are desperate? I know there are probably guys who go into weddings with that mindset but we don't need to glamorize it.
