I hit five of a 7-bet round robin on the afternoon games for $200. Missed Kansas +3.5 and Louisville-Clemson over. Woulda paid about 2500

Surprised they didn’t reach out to me for quotes.

 

I read that yesterday, super interesting. I've never won enough or bet heavy enough to register on that scale. I think my top win was about $225 on a three-leg NBA parlay a couple of years ago. Hey, I was just happy to put $50 in my FD account last night, hit on a +476 SGP on Pack/Titans, withdraw the original stake and have free money to screw around with.

 

After my performance last week, I’m sure Louisiana casinos that smell like Marlboros, disability checks and desperation are on the lookout for me.

 

Played a charity Hold 'Em tournament last night; good fun, open bar; great reminder of why I don't gamble with $$ I need; bad beats on the River are tough to swallow. Play a hand perfectly and got them dominated and out of nowhere, someone who limps in with a 5-8 nonsuited AND pays the pre-flop raise! gets an inside straight on the River. Gambling, fun but maddening.

 

My final tally was limited to $5 or less in 12 of 17 books I had accounts in when I lived in a legal state. Draft Kings, FanDuel, Caesars the only ones of the big boys that really let me bet a lot. I burned through most of the others fairly quickly.

Got cut off and limited by 5 books the same day. 7/1/21. The day that will live in infamy.

From March-June 2021, I was profiting about $170/day doing nothing but arb plays and promo hunting. The Paige promos on PB. Dinger Tuesday. EPL weekend odds boosts. There was one day I had about $3800 tied up on a random Rockies/Giants game where I was guaranteed to profit $370, regardless of who covered the run line.

Whenever I would get a free bet in February 2021, I’d drop it into Suns to win the pacific, anywhere from 16-1 to 5-1. That was good for $1500 free money.

The cash added up fast. I was keeping it in shoe boxes in the garage. Make it and then withdraw it onto the Play+ cards or steer it into the brick and mortar casino cages I could just drive to. No banks. No PayPal.

All summer, I’d drop my daughter off at church camp each week and drive 30 miles east and take out thousands in cash from the cage.

PointsBet, MGM, Rivers, something called BetFred and ScoreBet all cut me down. I was up, oh, $26,000 at the time after 24 months of playing. Made another 17k in the following seven months before moving. Hell of a fun.

What I don’t miss: if I would win the late night MLS games on Fridays, staying up for South Korean soccer at 2 am or the Aussie leagues at 5 am just to try and roll it over into an U2.5 goals.

 

World Cup. Give me US to exit in the group stage -130. I may also play the US to not score any goals against Wales AND England.

Give me Ecuador to score fewest goals at +2500.

Put a free bet on Serbia at 125-1 a few weeks ago. Will hedge it with Brazil to score the first goal of the second half in the opener. (Thinking is Serbia will play for a scoreless first half before it opens up.).

 

I'll toy with a little $10 three-teamer today -- Navy +15.5 at UCF, UConn +10.5 at Army and TCU -2.5 at Baylor. TCU is the one that worries me the most.
