Hmm. $10 million, where ya staying? I'd do Venetian/Palazzo but all my gambling would be downtown with the regular folks. Last dollar will go to a keno ticket at the El Cortez.

For the past few years, San Diego State has taken on the mantle of "Team whose mission in life is to single-handedly destroy my NCAA Tournament bracket."
If I pick them to go far, they lose in the first weekend. If I pick them to lose early, they make it to the Elite 8.
Which, of course, is all a prelude to say that they're getting a jump on things this year. Had them as the third wheel on a three-teamer, +2.5 at Boise State. The first two legs came home, and then San Diego State decides to be the asshole. Up eight with 4:48 to go and they didn't score again, and lost 66-60.
    Jerks.

The line on TCU-Texas was TCU -3.0 or -3.5, depending when you got it. This is the play-by-play of the last 10 seconds.
One man's bad beat is another's miracle cover, but this must have been agonizing to watch whichever side you were on.

After a couple of weeks away, jumped back in on DraftKings last weekend. Went back to an old friend -- a heavy football favorite parlay. Usually play these at like +250 or so, trying to find fairly safe bets. Went Dortmund, Napoli and Burnley and it hit fairly easily. Good to get back into the win column. DK has also been giving out no sweat same-game parlays on the NBA daily, so I've been playing those (all player props) and predictably missing by one leg each time. But I keep turning the free bets back into money, so it's OK. Hit on Liverpool/ManU/Arsenal yesterday, though ManU got a little squeaky. Needed two goals in stoppage time to survive. They gave out a KD superboost last night too -- Durant to score 15 points, hit a 3 and the Suns to win at +100. A free $25 there, I'll take it. This is actually a pretty good time to bet soccer because most leagues are deep into the season and results are much more predictable than they are in the fall.

*WARNING FEEL-GOOD BACKDOOR COVER-TYPE TALE INCOMING*

Parlayed Rangers-Senators o6.5 and Bruins-Sabres o6.5 tonight. Was working on something and didn't get to check until after 9 PM. Senators were up 4-3 but the Bruins were up 3-0 late in the third. Oh well. Then 4-0. Nice but still way too late. Went back to what I was doing. Came back to the NHL dot com scoreboard page a little while later...

    Bruins 7, Sabres 1

Sabres scored to make it 4-1 with under five minutes left, pulled the goalie and the Bruins scored twice. AND THEN ONCE MORE for good measure at even strength in the final minute. Thanks gentlemen. My daughter will eat this weekend! :D

    Three-leg parlay last night:
Took North Dakota-Denver over 149.5. Looked extremely dicey when it was 31-27 at half. In fact, kind of wrote it off but checked in on it and they got their shit together in the second half and ended up at 151 total. Yay.
Took Saint Louis -1 vs. Dayton. Billikens made winning plays down the stretch and won by four. Yay.
Took Morehead State -4.5 vs. SEMO. Eagles were up 51-45 with 7:38 left and ... remained stuck on 51 for the next 5:39 and made just one field goal the rest of the way and lost by seven.

    Sigh.

Any college basketball leanings will be appreciated.

For whatever reason, I took them only for the first half (probably my ADHD, I didn't want to wait 2 hours for a result). Morehead covered the first half. I watched the second half. Man, they fell apart at the end.

Mississippi State -3.5 at Vanderbilt is tempting. Mississippi State is playing really well down the stretch, and Vanderbilt just lost one of its best players for the season.

These unders in the college basketball tourneys are coming in at an extraordinary rate. At least for me the last couple days. Already hit two this morning and Richmond/George Mason not even in the area code of being close to coming close to hitting the over. (Jinx.) Don't know if overall they are hitting at a high rate. I read a couple weeks ago that overs were hitting at 64% for the season, so it would be quite a change if they are, but makes sense with these tourneys being played in bigger arenas with tougher shooting backgrounds to look at.

Also getting an under during live betting has been very successful for me so far.

My local casino has college baseball games on the board. I'm thinking these midweek games between SEC powerhouses and in-state jabronis could be a gold mine.
Today I did a cheap four-teamer with Florida -3.5 vs. Florida Atlantic (Florida won 11-0); Alabama -4.5 vs. Alabama State (Alabama leads 15-3 in the fourth inning); Texas -3.5 vs. Mercer (Texas up 10-0 in the fifth); and LSU -5.5 vs. Lamar (the problem child of the group, LSU is up comfortably but not covering yet, only leading 6-1 in the sixth).
South Carolina is also winning big today and is surely covering whatever its line was.
Could be a fun new toy to play with. It's obvious that no line is too big with some of these games.
