During my last casino trip I was ready to leave after a nice steak dinner and thought I'd swing by the craps table and roll once before going home.

Got to the table and it is two-thirds full. Guy in the right corner was getting ready to start his roll so I bought in. I was fourth in line to roll.

Guy in the corner rolls for almost an hour. Guy next to him goes almost 30 minutes. Next guy had a lengthy roll as well.

By the time the dice came to me, I was up over 2k (from a $400 buy in). It was one of my best casino trips ever.

A craps layout is a lot like the supermarket: you should shop on the perimeter and not go into the middle. But it's so tempting.

On a related note, "Hard Eight" is an excellent movie.

There is a ton of talent in that movie. Such a sad film. For a guy who is seemingly quite smart, John C. Reilly plays dumb very well.

The Cooler is another good casino film. Mississippi Grind is another.

I would watch those movies just for the actors. Ben Mendelsohn is amazing in anything he does. 'Killing them Softly ' is his best, mostly because he perfectly portrays a George Higgins character.

[Edit] And Killing Them Softly is a gambling movie, partly. I forgot Scoot McNairy, who is amazing.

    PS: George Higgins is brilliant.

The Cooler is one of my faves. Baldwin as the old-school casino boss is perfect.

Had a $10 bet expiring on DK today and took an underdog parlay of Everton and West Ham to win at +1406. It’s been a good start to the gambling weekend.

Folks, if a double defensive TD parlay doesn't pay off tonight, it never will.

I was on a massive cold streak until somehow squeaking out the El Assico hoops under by a point and winning on a Bailey Zappe interception prop last night. I may need help.

If I lose U28.5 because Army has played the worst prevent defense since Valley Forge, I’ll lose my feces.

I’m in Vegas for Raiders game; so just have fun

Chiefs -1 at home is hard to pass up

Cowboys -3.5; looked better when it was -2.5

I took the in-game over on 16.5 when it was 10-0, thinking someone had to score a damn touchdown in the fourth quarter. That defensive TD was a thing of beauty.

    Today's NFL plays:
$5 free bet to pay $96.52
Anytime TD parlay: David Montgomery, Gus Edwards, Ja'Marr Chase, Mike Evans

    $10 parlay at +516
    Bears +3.5
    Bucs-Falcons O40.5
    Jags-Browns U37.5
