Saw that Dame Lillard basically plays no D and all opposing guards are going nuts on him. Thought about putting my wad on Donovan Mitchell over his points. Hope I don’t wind up regretting that no play!

So I’m down $600 today. Balance is $1500.

    Let’s build it back.

Got my own tale of woe brewing here if Navy can't overcome a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter against Rice.
    Fucking Rice.

    My tale of woe ...
On a whim, I laid down a goofy 10-leg money line parlay. A $5 bet, would've paid $1,034 if it somehow hit. I never expected it to come close.
    Except it did.
Four games in the early window won. Five more in the afternoon window. I'm at 9/9 with one to go, and a miracle happens.
It's Navy at Rice, which is delayed several times by weather. We're at a wedding in New Orleans and just a few blocks from a casino with a sports book. It's a perfect opportunity to hedge. A $200 bet would've gotten me close to the $1,000 payout the parlay promised.
But I didn't go to the casino and hedge.

By the time we got done with dinner and drinks the game had restarted and the juicy pregame money line odds on Rice (+390) that would have made for an easy and relatively cheap hedge plummeted when Rice got off to a fast start. By the time we left the group it was down to -135 and would have cost a lot more, so I convinced myself to ride it out. Navy is good and Rice is not. All I need is Navy to grind out a win, right?
Final score: Rice 24, Navy 10. And it wasn't even that close.

In reality, I only lost $5 on a bet I never expected to come close to winning. I'm actually up a little for the weekend because a couple other bets hit.
Yet it feels like I lost the whole $1,000.
I've never had a situation like that, where there was an opportunity to win some real money instead of my usual nickel and dime bets -- and to guarantee that win on top of it -- and I blew it. It was free money sitting there for the taking, and I blew it.
This one is going to haunt me for a long, long time.
    Rice.
    Fucking Rice.

    Decent day yesterday...
    Parlayed Duke +21 at Miami, Purdue-Northwestern O46.5, Ole Miss-Arkanpig O54.

Ole Miss got the over on its own.
I thought I was up for a miserable beat the Purdue-Northwestern game got to 20-20 and Purdue didn't score on its OT drive. Thankfully, Northwestern hits a TD on its first play. That's in.
Almost simultaneously, Miami hits a deep ball to go up 15 on Duke. Fearing Duke forcing something, throwing a pick, etc. I decide to take a cash out, leaving a little bit on the table, but still a decent haul. Miami of course scores and wins by 22. Phew.

Then, feeling froggy at halftime of Wyoming-New Mexico, which was at 70 at halftime, I took the over of 102.5. Of course they only score 24 in the second half, but it was a fun, weird game to watch.

Two $10 parlays going during the 1 p.m. window today.
ATTD bet: Ja'marr Chase, Alvin Kamara, Bijan Robinson. It's only +309 but would still be a nice little win.

Also taking: Washington -3.5 (alt line), Dallas-Atlanta O51.5 (alt total), Joe Burrow over 1.5 TDs thrown. That's +459.

Kicking myself for not doing the New Mexico O51 as an alt line at -400 instead of Fresno. Bastards. :)

My NFL day did not go well. Can't believe none of those guys found the end zone. And Dallas couldn't do its part on offense against Atlanta. Figured that would be like a 34-20 type of game.

Took Vikings (-5.5), Edmonton Oilers (ML) and Chiefs (-9.5)... Got the first two, need the third to hit for a $65 profit (+501 odds)

Opened up college basketball season with a 7-way parlay ... Took the following games on the spread (hoping good home teams rout bad teams):
    Duke (-29.5) vs. Duke
    Michigan State -17.5) vs. Monmouth
    Kentucky (-19.5) vs. Wright State
    Kansas (-25.5) vs. Howard
    Alabama (-25.5) vs. UNC Asheville
    UCLA (-19.5) vs. Rider
Florida (-9.5) vs. South Florida (in Jax)

    $10 to pay 1K

Will also be round-robining those games so 1 loss doesn't kill me...
