Ended up $9 ahead, which is better than past Super Bowls when I've finished $50 behind or more. Those big bets hitting early really helped. Snuck a few wins out -- Worthy receptions, second half to be the higher scoring half, successful two-point conversion -- but missed on a bunch because of the blowout nature of the game. Went big on Goedert and he caught a couple of passes early and was never targeted again. I also was all-in on the Chiefs winning, so that was a bust. Those Eagles defensive props were a bust too. Slay didn't get a tackle until the fourth quarter, I think.

All in all, enjoyable and kept me invested in a game where I could give two shits about either team, so yay sports betting.

Needed Saquon O13.5 receiving yards in the worst way and a hurts completion of 35 + yards. Definitely kept me involved.

DK did a promo where they gave you a free bet up to $10 if you made a TD bet. I was very slightly up on my other bets, but the long TD to Hopkins made it a good game.

Got a $10 bonus bet from FanDuel for picking Eli to win the Kick of Destiny.

I was down about $7 so thanks again @Webster for making it a better (bettor?) day! The o2.5 players to attempt a pass was a last-minute addition.

Cashed out my Super Bowl tickets this morning (going into the casino at 9:30 a.m. is always a good way to make yourself feel like a degenerate), and decided to play a couple of basketball games for fun.
Lakers -6.5 at home vs. the Mavs tonight seems like the lockiest lock that ever locked, right?

The biggest stayaway for me yesterday was the Barkley ATTD. It was -200 and too risky to throw into anything. He only ended up scoring in 10 of Philly's 20 games, but the public artificially pushed the number acting like it was a sure thing. It's a total coin flip of who is going to get the ball if the Eagles get down inside the 3. And if they get to the 1, it's Hurts, no questions asked. So you almost are betting on a TD run of 10 yards or more. That number was dumb.

If you were going to go with a Barkley TD, you were way better off going for him to score 2+. He hit that number in eight of the 10 games in which he scored.

Anyway, just some rearview mirror thinking here...

Weird fact that might be a trend if the Eagles keep getting to the Super Bowl.
Both of their Super Bowls with Hurts, he has scored the first touchdown. Both times it was on QB sneaks, and both times came after replays overturned an apparent touchdown as being down at the 1.

Well hell. What the hell did I just bet on then?
Looks like they're playing on Feb. 25. It's rare for basketball odds to be posted more than a day in advance and it was at the end of the list so I guess I just assumed it was tonight.
I still like that bet a whole lot. I have a feeling Luka will be like a cross between Willis Reed and Jordan with the flu for that sumbitch if he has to.

Well, there was happy hour hoops on again yesterday ... CAA matchup between Monmouth and Stony Brook. At the 8 minute of the first half, took the over at 147.5 to stay interested. Monmouth is up 12 as time is running out. The Hawks foul with 16 seconds left, sending Stony Brook to the line for two. Sinks both. Monmouth dribbles it out. Final -- 79-69. Got 'em by a point. Great moment in happy hour gambling history!
