The Walking Dead is praying they don't go in late 2018. I think they lost more audience than GoT if they end up against each other. But that's what DVRs are for.

Spring makes sense. Only other thing I could see is them starting the week after the Super Bowl. Then the winter could come in the winter.

I saw a "Novemeber, 2018" date on a promo poster on my Facebook wall. I didn't vet the source, but it looked legit ....

That big red "unconfirmed" is telling, but makes sense.

So we've still got a very long wait in front of us, but HBO has been running a marathon of the early seasons this week. I caught "Man Without Honor" from the second season tonight, which is notable because it includes a great speech by Jaime Lannister about the conflicting vows he had to swear as a knight. That, and he messes with Catelyn Stark and Brienne.

Every time I get conflicting directives in a work situation, I think of this speech. A former co-worker of mine and I used to use it as shorthand when our employers would make some change that completely reversed the last change.

I'm going to play optimist and pretend we're getting the next book in 2018.

You should buy a Powerball ticket too. Go all out with the optimism. :)
