gannett plans to layoff 3,000 by december.

    maybe it's time for the rest of us to step it up and exit stage left sooner than later. it's a shame we all couldn't do it on the same day and say: "take that mother fuckers." i guess a guy can dream about paying it back.

    Can't, have 14 high school football games. Those kids work too hard to be ignored by us.

    Or perhaps everyone who wins a Pulitzer next year, refuses the award in protest.

    The Indy Star's publisher put out a memo that said it looks like 95(!) could be let go! There's no way that can be just the newsroom, but that's still way too many. I will pray that number is way overboard, and will also pray for my former co-workers.
