I don't think the Raiders will lose 10 or more games this season.

That's about as optimistic as I'm willing to get. :D

If Cincy gets the pick, I won't blame him for a second if he refuses to go there.

    Very true.

Luck has options. He already spurned the NFL knowing he was the number one pick. He could easily say "it's off to architecture school for me" if he's drafted by the Bengals. The league would make the Bengals cave.

I think Buffalo is worse than the Niners.

I don't know how bad Seattle will be, but I'm guessing pretty bad.

I think the Broncos will be OK.

If Carolina or Cincy gets the No. 1 pick, they will almost certainly have to trade it.

I'm guessing if Luck was willing to play for the Panthers, he would have come out this year.

The Bengals could trade Dalton if Luck was willing to play there, which I hope he's not.

I may be a fanboy for saying this (49ers fan) but they are no where close to 30th in the league. Yes, Alex Smith is back but he was the QB last year too and we weren't the third worst team in the league. Smith is no where near good but he hasn't been terrible the past two years either. Given he had a complete offensive moron as a head coach and offensive coordinator you would think he can be average. With Gore as a RB and an above average defense with Patrick Willis they should win 6-10 games. It will be 10 if Smith somehow improves drastically with Harbaugh and the west coast offense. It will be 6 if he regresses. They do have a tough schedule (a lot of early east coast games and short weeks against good opponents). I'm guessing seven wins. It will be nine if they pull out a couple close games (horrible at this the past two years.

I'm a Niners fan as well, but the only time Alex Smith looks like a good QB is when he comes in and they're down by three touchdowns and there's nothing to lose. If it's a must-win game, Smith will go to shit and that's with arguably the best TE in the game, a very solid RB and a WR with a ton of potential. The line isn't great, but it's been upgraded significantly.

If the Niners win 8-9 games, Harbaugh is a genius. If he makes Smith into a respectable QB, he's a genius.

I don't think they're the 30th best team in the league, but I think they only might be 2-3 notches higher than that. I think 5-6 wins is realistic.

Agree on Smith. Just look at New Orleans game last year. Complete crap until it was a blow out and then he almost gets the 49ers the comeback win. All the pressure was off when it was a blow out.

My point still remains though. They had Smith last year and won six games. They were 6-5 after the 0-5 start. And this is with the stupid Nate Clements game winning INT where he tries to run with it like a moron and Roddy White chases him down, strips it and Atlanta goes down and scores to win by two (yes I am still pissed at Clements for being a moron). Anyways, the 49ers won six last year with Smith and had four loses by three points or less. I don't see how they can be worse.
