I haven't had a chance to read this whole thread yet, but ya gotta love these quotes from yesterday:

Thorne: "I just talked to Doug, and he was wonderful!"

Mirabelli: "Gary Thorne's a (bleeping) liar."

For those writing about this, remember, it's shitstorm, one word, lowercase. Same with "molehill."

I still want an apology for Schilling telling "Good Morning America" viewers for vote for Dubya days before the election.

The more I read Schilling's blog, the more I think he's a fucking tool, whether he's right or not. Is he a marketing genius or a twat with two big lips that never stop moving? I. Vote Twat.

You got a link for it? I'm curious to read it now.

p.s. Looks like SI.com's Jon Heyman believes Thorne's original comment.

Whether Thorne was right or wrong, what player which is currently on the team with Schilling would ever admit that as being painted? These guys are teammates and in the same clubhouse every day ... a guy like Mirabelli, especially, who is a backup and likely not on as firm as ground on the 25-man roster as Schilling.

You don't usually see guys call each other out when they are on the same team. That usually happens when they are no longer teammates. Mirabelli's response is exactly what I expected it would be, whether Thorne was right or wrong.

One thing from Schilling's post which I thought was quite relevant:

Of course, he also says how this team doesn't need a distraction then goes on a 10,000-word blog post about the subject.

That wasn't blood on Robert Redford's jersey when he played Roy Hobbs in "The Natural." But, in the movie, that was blood on Hobbs' jersey.

    Just clarifying.

Ok. But tha doesn't take into account the former teammates who have already publicly responded by saying that there it was definitely blood, including Kevin Millar and Orlando Cabrera. There was at least one more, but I forget who it was.
