    How's this for a 1,000th post?

Your need to prevent and shut down debate on the topic shows the weakness of your arguments. I thought journalists were supposed to have open minds. But then liberals all have closed minds. And since the journalism field is so full of liberalism, you don't need to look too far to see why newspapers are dying. I've never encountered such a pack of close-minded individuals. But you run in packs, so you just keep patting yourselves on the back and telling yourselves how smart you are. When your papers fold and you're unemployed, it will be so well-deserved to you. Problem is, it will also affect a lot of good people.

This one is a fun read. Headline: Anna Nicole Smith's death blamed on Global Warming

Hugh Hewitt? Now there's an open-minded guy. ::)

OT we're always open to debate. Things like affirmative action, gun control, gay issues, abortion, etc. But global warming and evolution? You've got to admit that you're in the 10 percentile that doesn't believe in those things. When you're arguing from such a minority position, you've got to expect ridicule and condescension.

Whining about how people don't want to debate topics that 90 percent of people don't think is worthy of a debate is hard to understand.

  3. I hate running in packs with 90 percent of the people who actually know what they're talking about. It's so boring.

Hugh Hewitt? Where do you get Hugh Hewitt out or two Thomas Sowell columns and a Doug Giles column? But you make my point even though you don't realize it. You don't want to debate what is said, you want to debate who said it.

And, again, I've never said I don't believe in evolution. But you have to extrapolate that I said that to paint me as unbelievable. A pretty transparent attempt.

On the bright side, thanks for not falling into the usual name calling.

  5. Doug Giles?
    The gun-totin' Jesus freak preacher?
    The Clash-Point guy?
    That Doug Giles?
And Thomas (Sell Your Kidneys For Cash) Sowell?
THOSE are your new expert climatologists?
    Good luck.

I saw that Horner guy on the Daily Show a couple of nights ago.

Like Jonny Stewart said ... two things I can't get my head around (and I paraphrase)
    1) With everything we are pumping into the atmosphere, it must have some effect
    2) Why would all these scientists go to all the trouble, you seem to imply it is some global conspiracy. What?

All the skeptics throw out the MIT guy, yet you've got hundreds of scientists from larger and more prestigious places all over the globe, saying the exact opposite. What is their motivation?
I'd add what wrong is with individuals taking small steps to conserve and asking large corporations to do the same?

  7. Well, according to the brave iconoclast here, it's because the Danes are trying to wreck our economy and because Scientific American is run by Germans.

I know this much: If they're running with you, they don't know what they're talking about.

Again, Fenian, tell me how your credentials on global warming outweigh Dr. S Fred Singer, the man who set up the American weather satellite system? Or MIT's Lindzen?

Remind me again: Where are you a professor, Fenian? You're nothing but a blowhard.

BTW, seen the interview with Czech president Vaclav Klaus on the politics of your favorite movement? Pretty enlightening stuff.

Of course you deny the Danish Conspiracy. I expect nothing less from somebody quoting a known commie environmentalist like Teddy (the Red) Roosevelt.

Just as it always is with you, Fenian. You can never debate what's said so you debate who said it. Don't you ever get tired of admitting your weakness?

No, they're columnists quoting climatoligists. Your fear of reading facts from experts is duly noted.

Let's see ... climatologists or Al Gore and Fenian.

Actually, a mushroom is smarter than Gore and Fenian combined.
