Sounds too derivative of the Stones.

    That's what gets me too.

I almost consider them two bands -- two great bands.

They were the British invasion, mop top, band of, I Want to Hold Your Hand.

And, then they were the studio geniuses who could put out the White album and the rest of their later catalog.

Who else evolved like this? And, they did not have anyone to follow. Sure, Buddy Holly had recorder with orchestras already, but they still set the pace for a generation of artists.

John really was an ass, wasn't he? And, he was pretty messed up at the time the Beatles broke up.

Paul seems like a guy who's found peace in his life now, but he was awful petty at the time. And, he really let his wife (or really his in-laws) get him worked up.

Paul pissed of George. How do you piss of George? You can write a love song to his wife, steal her away, and still be best friends with George.

But Paul managed to piss him off.

Such a shame. As incredible as they all were individually, the sum was greater than the parts.

Me too. Clapton is unmatched as far as I'm concerned. Would have been interesting to see what would have happened had Harrison left the Beatles and they offered Clapton the job as Lennon threatened to do. I'm not sure he would have accepted. Had he, I'm not sure it would have worked and given his history, he certainly wouldn't have stayed very long.

I liked Louisville when I was there for the '96 PGA.

I don't know how he can even perform that song. I choke up listening to it, and it wasn't written about my son.

Brought tears to my eyes first time I heard him play it live. If I'm not mistaken (maybe I read it in his book), I thought he said he wasn't going to release it and then when he played it on Unplugged it got such a great reception he realized he had to do it. I love Change The World, too.

Just bought "All Things Must Pass" from iTunes. Looking forward to getting into some George solo stuff. Can't believe I never have.
